Wat is TWIST?
TWIST is de studievereniging van taalwetenschap te Leiden. Al ruim twintig jaar organiseren we activiteiten voor onze leden die niet alleen hun studie verbreden maar het ook mogelijk maken om medestudenten beter te leren kennen. Jaarlijkse evenementen zijn de VakanCie-buitenlandreis, het TWIST Student Conference en het Talengala. Daarnaast organiseren we lezingen, filmavonden, spelletjesavonden, borrels en nog veel meer! Uiteraard doen we dat niet allemaal zelf: we worden geholpen door de fantastische leden die in onze commissies zitten.
Een lidmaatschap bij TWIST geeft je de mogelijkheid om je medestudenten te leren kennen, maar ook veel anderen die geïnteresseerd zijn in taal. Je ontvangt vier keer per jaar ons verenigingsblad (de TWISTER) en kunt deelnemen aan alle activiteiten die het bestuur en de commissies organiseren. Je mag ook stemmen bij de Algemene Ledenvergadering en zelf lid worden van een commissie. Als lid van TWIST zul je vooral veel vrienden maken en gewoon een hele leuke tijd hebben!

Pre-GA dinner

Description
As is tradition, there will be a pre-GA dinner from Woo Ping. Attending the dinner costs €9.- and will take place in the Lipsius Cafeteria at 18:00, we will all go to the GA together immediately after. Election GA

Lipsius - 1.48
Description
The TWIST Election GA for 2026 is finally here. On June 9th from 19:00–22:00 in Lipsius 1.48 members vote on various points related to TWIST. At the Election GA a new board is put forward by the current TWIST board, but any TWIST member may propose a counter-board too! Counter-boards may be serious (and must therefore follow the Statues) or humorous, so let your imagination run wild! The new board will then be elected.
If you would like to present a counter-board, please let us know, so we know how many we will need time for.
This GA will vote on Internal Regulations changes, the new Code of Conduct and elect a new board. The agenda, IR changes, and the new Code of Conduct have been sent to your emails. Please read them so you can discuss them at the GA!
Committee gifts will also be handed out at this GA, so if you did any committee work this year, please attend so that you can accept your gift!
